of at least:<\/p>\n<p>25% by average weight of portable batteries and accumulators placed on the market by September 2012.<\/p>\n<p>45% by average weight of Portable Batteries and Accumulators placed on the market by September 2016.<\/p>\n<p>A new European Directive is expected to come into force in 2025, which will increase the minimum recycling rate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recycling processes must achieve the following recycling efficiencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recycling of 65% by average weight of portable batteries and lead-acid batteries, including recycling of lead content to the highest degree that is technically feasible without excessive costs.<\/li>\n<li>Recycling of 75% by average weight portable batteries and nickel-cadmium batteries, including recycling of the cadmium content to the highest extent technically feasible without excessive costs.<\/li>\n<li>Recycling of 50% by average weight of other waste Portable Batteries and Accumulators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Based on the current
