AFIS at the CFA Grassroots Youth Championships

We are delighted to participate, during the new football season, in the CFA Grassroots Youth Championships, the largest youth football organisation in Cyprus, with a shared goal of informing and raising awareness among children about the environment and the importance of recycling.

Through our partnership with the CFA, we aim to bring the message of battery recycling even closer to children and their families and contribute to building environmental awareness from an early age.

The Grassroots Youth Championships will kick off on 31 October, with 1,100 teams and more than 10,000 boys and girls aged between 6 and 15 taking part.

The matches will take place every Saturday at 55 sports venues across Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta and Paphos.

Through the Grassroots Championships, children experience the joy of football, free from pressure and competitiveness, as for several years now the youth championships have been held without recording results or league standings.

The aim is for children to develop a love for football, learn to play by the rules, socialise and exercise in a healthy and safe sporting environment.

The scale and popularity of the Grassroots Championships were among the main reasons that led us to partner with the CFA. Through this partnership, we have the opportunity to bring the message of battery recycling to more than 10,000 children and their families across Cyprus.
